I think this conservative he does a pretty good job, helped me understand things a little better. March 10, 2010 Update: There have been some revisions to the bill since I wrote this post in August. More recent information is available here. Adeventhis asks, … In full disclosure, I have some partisan leanings—but I’ll do my best to put them aside. I’ll do my best for 10-year-old,...

Unconditional Love
lhh: When you were 1 year old, she fed you and bathed you. You thanked her by crying all night long. When you were 2 years old, she taught you to walk. You thanked her by running away when she called. When you were 3 years old, she made all your meals with love. You thanked her by tossing your plate on the floor. When you were 4 years old, she gave you some crayons You thanked her by coloring...

Inspired?
When do you know that life is good? When it feels good? If it feels good is it really good? How is any human being supposed to know when something is right? Just because it feels good doesn’t mean it is and it certainly doesn’t mean it is right. Are we supposed to trust the instinct that we have and go with what feels good and hope that it is right? I don’t get it. Will someone...

My Summer
BBQ’s. Not working! Playing hard with Transformers, Rubik’s cube’s and bicycles. Consuming massive quantities of red wine. Mastering the art of bribery to rid my world of diapers and baby wipes. Kissing, snuggling, loving, laughing, listening and capturing these moments forever through the lens of my camera. Giving my heart to someone, jumping head first with my eyes closed into...

I love liars. I love people who can’t make plans. I love boys who cheat. I love boys who lie about cheating. I hate catching a boy in a lie. :) I hate my aunt and uncle’s dog Maggie. I love picking up her poop. I hate red wine and really hate Italian food. I love being sick. I hate orchids. I hate driving fast and spinning cookies on icy streets. I hate shopping. I love but am slowing...

“Da cho,” Ethan says as he pulls the covers over his head last night. (“Da cho” is “love you” for those of you who don’t speak toddler). But my little boy isn’t a toddler anymore. No sir. Today, April 14th, 2008, my son turned 3 years old. I woke him up on his birthday after a night of sleeping right next to him, wimpering like a little baby...

Oh dear...
I really hope my stepmonster *cough, cough* I mean nasty, fat, ugly wrench-mother reads my blog. Knowing her… she would forward ilikeyoutoo’s web adress to every family member I know and say, “Oh my god, look at Amanda.” I hope she does, maybe I’ll get some readers. Next up, nasty e-mails I’ve gotten from her from over the years. Fairly entertaining. Just you...

Virtual Culture
One of my online class assignments: Does virtual culture erode or enhance? I wonder how many people I’m going to hear about this from. I very strongly think that virtual culture erodes our culture. To me there is nothing enhanced about Spongebob or characters similar to that. I am just as guilty as the next person allowing my son to be distracted by tv and shows that grab his interest....
